earth's bounty

since it's the long weekend and we weren't organised enough to make plans.. and there's only so much of couch potatoeing a girl can handle.. so i decided to venture into my garden and look what i harvested!!

look at those gorgeous blades of jade jewels!

and check out these spuds! how cute are they! the big one was only about 5cm in length!!

well.. they are sweet potatos, white skin and purple flesh (apparently called the okinawan variety) i wasn't suppose to be harvesting them.. we grow the sweet potatos for the leaves.. it's adds some variety to our limited chinese vegies diet..

anywayz, i was trying to tidy up our over crowded sweet potato patch.. then i think i dug a little too deep..

ok ok.. i lied.. my curiosity got the better of me and i just kept on digging like a obsessive stalker.. i just wanted to know if there's really sweet potatoes under the green lush vines.. and when i finally found these tiny spuds.. i felt really guilty coz they were so tiny and i can't put them back! :(

in hindsight, i wondered why was i so curious about? what did i expect to find? peanuts? apples? sigh..

Hah! I knew it! You are half Irish after all! Hmmm, must be the top half: there's no way that liver of yours is green with a clover fixation.
